David: useful and insightful review of SEB SBE 12.0, thank you. One comment you made was to wish that this product included antivirus for MACs. A related product, “Symantec’s Protection Suite, Small Business Edition”, DOES include AV for MACs and the MAC/OS, along with this SEP SBE 12.0, and the “Desktop” version of Symantec’s excellent Windows host imaging/backup facility, “Backup Exec System Recovery” (formerly Livestate Recovery). The idea is apparently that JUST Antivirus, or JUST a system imaging and recovery app is not really enough on its own, and that ALL of these are needed (which is generally true. SPS SBE also includes a limited version of Symantec’s anti-spam email protection for Windows. Suffice it to say, this ‘super-set’ bundle provides much more protection and recovery options, but is still easy to use and set up, as you have found with SEP SBE 12.0.
