Survivor’s Retreat.com

It isn’t often that I get to blog about my little sister’s Web site, well, because up until now she hasn’t had one. Carrie is a breast cancer survivor going on five plus years now, and she is an awesome person. We did one of the Komen walks last year to help raise money and awareness and it was such a tremendous time to be with her despite the rain and the many miles. This year she is doing the Avon walk in NYC, you can click here to donate to her page.

Anyway, here is her site that she has been working on for several months. It contains lots of great information about retreats that cancer survivors can go and get recharged, all around the country. If you know someone (and sadly, we all know far too many people) that could benefit from taking a few days off, please refer them to this great information resource.

And this year I am doing a different charity event here in Missouri for Multiple Sclerosis Society — riding 150 miles by bike in two days in Columbia in September. You can click here to donate to my page, or here to donate to my friend Steve’s page. Steve has had MS for many years and will be coming from California and riding with me.

As Carrie so eloquently says, we are all survivors. If you know of other retreats that she can list on her site, please drop her a line.
