What the museum of the future looks like on the Web

This is a screengrab from the Indianapolis Museum of Art‘s Web site. I have not been to the actual museum, but their online home is a vibrant and wonderfully designed place, full of interesting little nooks and crannies, just like a great museum should be in the physical world. Exhibit A is their “dashboard” which lists all sorts of real-time stats — I am not sure the average museumgoer would care about these things but certainly the more geek-minded one would be all over this. indy-museum-dashboard
